Today we are living in a world of conflict, where countries are fighting each other over land and natural resources, one country trying to gain superiority over others, and religious battles. There is one country that's trying to stand in the middle and create a better life for all countries.
The United States feels that the entire world should be free like we are and enjoy all the freedoms that we have. Our government feels when there are smaller countries being taken advantage that our Armed Forces should step in to protect the defenseless country. As soldiers, I feel a great satisfaction when I am helping those cannot help themselves. When I have gone to other countries for peace keeping missions, and I see the citizens and children of the country praise all soldiers presence it makes my feel like there is no better job than being a soldier.
Many Americans feel that every country wants our support and they appreciate the work that we are doing for them. Well, we have experienced the truth the hard way. Currently we have soldiers in the Iraq and Baghdad that are fighting to protect Americans from terrorism and law-abiding citizens from their leader. Our government is getting negativity feedback from both sides. Americans feel that we are suffering enough in our own country. We have people, who do not have money to feed their families, pay for health care coverage, and barely making it with the money that they are making. There are even people that have lost their jobs due to this war and we are putting money into other countries to better their way of live. To this point we spent over 75 billion dollars on this war. http://costofwar.com/. Some feel America should have learned their lesson when they saved Germany from Hitler in the 1930's and rebuilt their country while preserving the historical landmarks from this era.
Soldiers are even losing the faith in our leaders. http://pfaff.tcc.virginia.edu/home/ MT/archives/000184.html. We have military Noncommissioned Officers speaking out in public against their higher chain of command and asking for their resignation. There have been more soldiers to get killed in the peacekeeping missions over in Baghdad and Iraq then in the war. The total thus far is 304. http://www.capeargus.co.za/index.php? fSectionId=55&fArticleId=241702. Helping these people who cannot do it themselves is an excellent gesture made by our government but there are many of there people who do not want us there. To show the American government how they oppose our stay they are killing soldiers in an extreme manner.
With all these attacks on soldiers one must think why are we still over their why won't pull our soldiers out. The Middle East is where we get most of our oil from and if we pull out Sadamme will take over and who else will support us with that resource. This is a very selfish way to think but, our politicians have to look at both sides and I think the money is more important
