Abstract

This paper will break down the basics of what an APA 6th Edition paper should have in it. It will give a brief over view of the abstract, introduction, body and the conclusion. How does one cite an author? Simply by putting last name first, initials first name last. It will detail the correct format on how to cite information fond and how to reference the authors, websites etc. being used. It's a simple process if the format is used correctly.

Using the APA 6th edition (American Psychological Association) a reader will learn how to write an APA paper. What is in an APA paper? First the Title page, Abstract, Introduction, the Body, and the conclusion of the paper. The Abstract will give you a brief summary of the paper to get the reader interested. The Introduction is where the topic is introduced, the body of the paper will break down all the vitals such as (how to cite information found ,reference authors etc.) And the conclusion is wrapping up of the paper.

Abstract

The abstract is a single paragraph that isn't indented; depending on the journals that are being submitted the paragraph will only be 150-250 words. The second page will always be the abstract. 2.04 APA manual (American Psychological Association) [APA] 2009. It's important because this is where the reader will determine if the article is worth reading. Writing an APA paper can be tricky if not understanding how to use the correct format. (Research topic, research questions, main body, and conclusions). It would be good to include possible implications of the research and future work you see connected with your findings. (OWL in APA) Writing two or three sentences for each part of the paper describing what you will be writing about will give a great abstract.

Introduction

The first paragraph of this section of the paper is considered the introduction and must be indented. The title of the paper is to the top of the first page and should be centered but is not to be put in bold. 2.01 [APA]. In this section you will give the reader detailed information on what will be discussed in the paper. Here is where the research topic and research questions would be introduced.
