2. FINDING INTERVIEW RESULT

On 3rd April 2018, we had an interview session with the company Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. We have been interviewing the representatives of the company. The representative that we had interviewed is a human resource manager where she had served for 7 years with the company and was the first human resource manager for Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. She also briefly explained about the background of Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. was established in May 1994 and a private company which linked with government. This company are doing Fleet Management, Vehicle Rental and Auto Sales and Service industry. Other than that, this company also supply and leased the vehicle to the state government. Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. which is one of the investment arm of the Sabah State Government. They also have subsidiaries and doing other business which is Angkatan Hebat Services Sdn. Bhd., Angkatan Hebat Trading Sdn. Bhd., Angkatan Hebat Motor Sdn. Bhd., and Angkatan Hebat Tourism Sdn. Bhd. The Angkatan Hebat Group has its own headquarters and autogallery / showroom at Sabah's grandest landmark, 1Borneo. There are count more than 500 vehicles in the fleet, by far the largest and most modern in Sabah, offering compact cars, utility cars, and saloon cars right up to limousines, 4WDs and 40-seater luxury coaches. In total, the Angkatan Hebat workforce exceeds 150.

Other than telling about the company background, the HR Manager also telling us about the company organization culture as well as human resources management. There are 5 organization culture and human resource management activities that have been explained by the HR Manager which is potential candidates, career development, company culture and CSR activities, company challenges and working environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Briner, (2000) has elaborated that work environment is the sum of the interrelationship that exists among the employees and the employers and the environment in which the employees work which includes the technical, the human and the organisational environment. While Akintayo (2012) define that organisational environment refers to the immediate task and national environment where an organization draws its inputs, processes it and returns the outputs in form of products or services for public consumption. The task and national environment includes factors such as supplier’s influence, the customer’s role, the stakeholders, sociocultural factors, the national economy, technology, legislations, managerial policies and philosophies. All these go a long way in influencing people’s psych and attitude towards work
