1. Determine the name of the company and the products that the company will sell. Include at least four products.

Zet – the company will sell electronic devices: Tablets, Phones, Computers, Mp3 Players.

2. Briefly describe the company - how many employees, where it is located, and so on.

Zet is a company that sales and offers support for electronic equipment, it is located around UCF, 12101 University Blvd, it has a total of 45 employees, that serve as sales workforce, managers, clerks, maintenance, technicians, customer service, inventory.

3. Describe why this company needs your database system.

This company needs a system to efficiently report and keep record of sales, employees, customer calls and their issues, resolution of problems, keep track of equipment assigned to employees. The money and material saved to maintain record of their products, employees, sales, which product they sold to which client, the information of that client, which salesman sold what product to how many clients, it will be a very versatile tool for the company.

4. Describe the people who will use this system (end-users). For example, clerks, supervisors, managers, customers, and so on.

Clerks will be able to efficiently and quickly access sales records, who the salesperson was, which product, to which client, what amount of money was sold efficiently calculate bonuses. Managers will be able to access report of sales and efficiency of their salesman, a record of support calls, managers will be able to see which customers called, if an issue is repeating itself, what the resolution was and who solved it. For inventory employees locating products inside many aisles within a warehouse will be easier by linking the product id to the aisle where it is located or stored in the warehouse, an alert or automatic order can take place whenever the inventory falls below a specified number for restock automatically updating with every sale, making work easier for inventory employees. And the system will keep history and track of equipment assigned to employees that commute from home.
