The fictional organization that I have chosen is the Patton-Fuller Community Hospital. The community hospital has been operating since 1975 and bases its full existence on customer service as well as accurate service. "At Patton-Fuller Community Hospital, we treat the most important health concerns - yours. We provide healthcare services designed to meet your needs at every stage of your life. Patient care is our most important job. We want to make sure your experience is as pleasant as possible". (Web-link virtual organization, 2012) With customer service and patients well-being driving our business, the staff at Patton- Fuller Community Hospital understands that keeping up with technology and system upgrades will allow us to stay morally and ethically a head of the class.
The Patton-Fuller Community Hospital executive staff understands the ethical and moral dilemmas that they may face. With that being the case the hospital try's their best to focus on patient needs while listening to patient complaints. The hospital and staff take their positions very seriously. Their goals are to ensure the patient health is being taking care of by all means. In order to do this the hospital make sure that the facility staff are aware of and practices the HIPPA law at all times by making sure that patient records should always be sealed and not available to the public. By listening to our patients, our doctors are able to diagnose patients with extreme care and knowledge. By following these two basic ethical dilemmas the hospital can avoid mal- practice situation, a law suit for not protecting patients' privacy or long term damage to a patient. And our patients not only leave feeling better but they do not leave our facility with a bad experience. Sometimes in this industry you hear about hospitals having bad reputations, and with that being the case Patton- Fuller Community Hospital will do everything they can do not to have that stigma.
Looking at Patton-Fuller Community Hospital as a business first you have to take into consideration on what their moral and ethical dilemmas are today. The first thing that the hospital feels that is a problem is their Patient management system, the hospital wants an evaluation for the development of a patient management system for the tracking of patient check-in, appointments and surgery.
