Why I Choose to Become a Nurse
"Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true." - Leon J. Suenes. My personal dream has always been to become a registered nurse. I am studying to become a nurse for three very important reasons: fascination with the anatomy of the human body and how it functions, the job satisfaction and security that it provides, and last but definitely not least, personal fulfillment that I will gain throughout my career.
Since I can remember, I have always been interested in how our bodies work. As a little girl I was always wrapping up my dolls, making casts for them and pretending to make them feel better or healing some sort of make-believe wound. A down side to some people might be that you have to work holidays. For me this isn't such a downside because of the over-time pay I will get!
The most important reason I would love to become a nurse someday is the ability to help others heal. "It is not how much you do but how much love you put in the doing." - Mother Teresa. This quote reflects my view of nursing. To help a person feel better and know that I've made an impact on someone's life, or have even saved someone's life, is extremely rewarding to me. Nursing would give me so much personal gratification that I would be extremely satisfied about the person I am and have become. I believe I can connect with patients because
