These questions has been interpreted or answered by many people in different sectors: politics, religion, education, and other forms of organization. Different perspectives, theories, philosophies, and inspirational quotations and messages are created to clearly understand about human and their importance and purpose for living. Let me share with you my opinion about this and what is the impact of this question to me considering that I am a human being.

I live in a family with different beliefs, my mother is a Christian and my father is a Catholic. Despite that they have different beliefs; they agreed that we choose to one faith or practice, which is the Catholic principle. Based on the teachings that Catholic had thought me, the Book of Genesis tells us the creation of man in accordance to God’s decision. As He created the world beautifully, in all forms of living organisms, He noticed that no one will be enjoying His creation and no one will be ruling them. So He created Adam and Eve, both are human being that will enjoy His creation and rule it. By the scriptures, we have the responsibility to take care of what God has been created.

Another teaching that I’ve learned is that human was created in God’s likeness and image. Because of that I consider myself as a beautiful creation of God, similar to His image and responsibility. This dictates me that I should have discipline, love, care, and goodness to others. Whatever God give us to be good, we need to contain and sustain it not just for Him or His creation, but our responsibility to people, family, and society.

Catholics believe also that each of us has its inherited or original sin that we acquired from Adam and Eve. Because of disobedient act, God destroy His world through flood. As a human being, from the start that we are born, even if we do not sin or sinful act, I consider myself to be sinful. And by that, I need to be good and discipline.

Due to the entrance of science, experimentations, and explorations, scientist and other science experts discovered principles and theories about human being.

Anatomy and Medical Medicine, both part of Biology which study the human body, leads us to understand what is happening inside this physical form. From cells to tissues and organs to systems, the formation and functions of each system that we have makes us alive today. In order to sustain our body for stress, fatigue, loads, and other forms that our body is use, we require to eat healthy and nutritious food or meals, medicines, and water. Because human being is superior among living organisms, and has an essential role in molding the society, the Medicine field with the influence of technology and prolong one’s life and can survive in each sickness or health condition that the individual can have. But this modernization is still being affected by the beliefs that we have. Others say that it is only God has the right to get the life that He given to us.

Charles Darwin’s (an English Naturalist) Evolution of Man creates huge controversies during his time indicating that man came to apes or monkeys. Using the method of Natural Selection or Survival of the Fittest, species survive to pass on their genetic information and the change of the environment in order to survive. Weakest species are eliminated, transforming survived species into new one. I believe most individual do not believe in this theory because of their beliefs. Humans are being compared to apes, considering apes are animals and they do not think how humans do, and they believe that human is the high form of organism or living things created in this world.

With the entrance of Philosophy, Culture, and Traditions, people enable to understand the general and fundamental problems that human encountered in its society. We enable to discipline and change ourselves by understanding our existence, knowledge, values, reasons, mind, and even language.

We have Philosophers across all regions, they have teachings, principles, guidance, inspirational messages, and other forms of philosophies that help us to nurture ourselves, enrich our minds, create value activities to others, being good, and creating harmonious relationship to others, and society. Because of these knowledge and principles, we enable to create good society; we became better person and professionals; we enable to embrace cultural differences and understand diversity.
