What Is the Management

There are so many definition regarding management. Various internationally accepted management scientists have defined various way. according to them we can define management as "management is a process of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of human, financial, physical and informational resources to achieve organizational objectives efficient and effective manner. we have limited resources like human, money, material etc so we have to learn the art of getting optimum result out of limited resources.so the management is essential to achieve that goal. according to those definition, there are four main functions in the management. they are

1. planning

2. organizing

3, directing

4. controlling

in the modern world people have unlimited wants and needs. However available resources are limited. these needs are provided by the various organisations of the society.there must be some strength to activate and run these organisations. as per the Peter Ducker stressed that this strength is the management.

when we compare with the global economic and social condition our citizens are far behind. the ultimate result of the good management in a country is to improve the quality of the life of its citizens.

in the Majority of the public and private sector organisations' managers are not quipped with the required skills and attitudes of the good management. the needs and wants of the our society should be provided by the different organisations effectively and efficiently. providing these goods and services up to expected level and changing needs of the customers are not possible with out good management.

in this world where rapid technology change are taking place. effective management is necessary to keep pace with these development.

improving productivity in organisation and the country as a whole is another requirement of the management.

we have to develop a management ideology which suits the our culture. it is necessary to learn by the our managers universerlistic management principles and different internationally accepted management

thoughts before developing suitable management ideology for our organisations. all these factors highlighted why effective and efficient management is necessary in our organisations.
