1.What is a marketing plan and how it is used?
Good marketing plan provides directions and focus
for brand, product or company for the future. A detailed plan can help the company to increase their profits. Marketing plan shows how the organizations strategic objectives will be achieved through specific marketing strategies and tactics, with the customers as the starting point. To guide implementation effectively every part of the plan must be described in considerable details.
2.Which section of a marketing plan is the most important? why? The least important?
Most important section is marketing analysis, the company has to figure out the customer segments and target your products and service to specific group of people. For example, the SWOT analysis to better know their internal strength& weakness, and external threats& opportunities and also analysis their potential competitors.
The least important section is marketing control, after the company has finished all the necessary tasks of the marketing plan, the part of “marketing control” is basically seeing the results of the plan and they effect on the market.
3.What analysis should be done before writing the marketing plan? (Hint: Look up Marketing strategy, Business strategy)
SWOT, TOWS analysis, SMART objectives, Porter’s five forces, 4Ps, 6Cs of customer motivation.
4.What decisions have to be made before writing the marketing plan? Who makes these decisions?
Deciding the targeting group, how to reach to them, create the customer awareness, find out your competitors. The entrepreneurs/Marketing sectors of the company can make the decision.
5.How is a marketing plan used after it is written? Who uses it?
The marketing planning addresses the what and why of marketing activities, implementation addresses the who, where when and how. Marketing managers use it to achieve the marketing objectives.
