What influences and experiences had the greatest impact in King’s development as a leader?

Most influential for King to develop as a leader for self-confidence, this is how he was grown in the family. From the very childhood king’s parents taught him to be confident, to respect feelings such as love, and to be the person who will serve the people. Even though he had to struggle the racism, he was taught that he and every other black people were as good as anyone else. This caused that Martin Luther King was self-confident.

Also it is very important for leader to have faith, King had faith in love, god and in humanity, this gave him determination that he could fulfill his dream, to be equal. As he also mentioned his wife also played big role in his success, so it seems like that since childhood he had good supportive environment to work on himself.

It is very important for leader to be intelligent, from the case we see that King was all the time trying to develop his intellectual skills, so it also helped him a lot to become the leader.

As we see from this case despite the fact that King was determined in his dreams and his life path, he was very afraid and weak, he was chosen as a leader without his will, if he would be asked he would deny the responsibility, but with the support of his wife he became the leader, at home and in association he was open about his fear, this could encourage other people he was openly showing the threats the black society may face, by his own example.
