I believe in Criminal Minds. Before I begin to tell you why I believe in Criminal Minds, I would like to explain to you what Criminal Minds is. It is the number 1 crime drama out of all the shows in its category. The show is about a team of people who work for the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), a part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). They help solve cases, while working with different law enforcement agencies around the country.
I believe in Criminal Minds for multiple reasons. I believe in their teamwork, the way they behave like a family, and also the justice that is shown while doing their job. Teamwork is a big part of everyday life because if you don't know how to work with people, getting a career when you get of age will be difficult. I also believe in their way of being non-racial. Around the nation you would hear people saying how the government is racist, but in the show there are African Americans as actors/actresses.
I also believe in the way they can hold the watchers attention while staying organized. Many television shows can just get a room full of actors and actresses, give them a script, then just through them in front of a camera. In Criminal Minds their actors and actresses are well trained and prepared. Their cast is also multi-racial, going from Italian to African-American, to even Latino. Mixing races on a show is a great way to grab the watchers attention, because people are going to want to know their relationships with one another.
Criminal Minds has touched me in many ways. Before I started watching Criminal Minds I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I went from wanting to be a teacher, to lawyer, to cop, to detective; I mean I was all over the map with my future. But the more I watched Criminal Minds I started to visualize my self sitting in a board room with six other team members. As we receive cases of killers with many different modus operandi. Also as we aboard the jet to go to which ever city needs our help, I will have on my all black suit with my credentials in my left suit coat pocket and my gun on the far back right of my waist. Basically saying I saw myself as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) working with the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU).
Criminal Minds is a part of my life now. It is in my daily routine; as soon as I get home Criminal Minds is on my TV. I feel like when I am watching Criminal Minds I am in my own little world. When I'm mad I watch Criminal Minds and I forget about whatever made me mad. I feel like I have a personal connection with the show. I remember one episode by the name of "JJ". That episode was very emotional for a string little guy like me. In that episode Agent Jennifer Jereau (JJ), the team's liaison was being recruited by the State Department. The crazy thing was she didn't want to go, the Section Chief was pushing
