Walls can never be a solution to any problem
A very topical issue these days is that Trumpt wants to build a wall between America and Mexico to avoid illegal immigrants. Some say that would be good, but many say that walls can never be a solution to any problem.
Secondly, the wall will not stop migration – it will make it even worse. There are already many immigrants in the US anyway. Among them certainly many terrorists. It should also be remembered that terrorists are not undocumented. That's why they can just get into the US by plane and nobody would notice. Moreover, migrants will not be deterred by such a wall. They will look for alternative routes or helper. This will be an advantage for the criminal cartels, who now also control the trafficking system. That's why there will be migrant smuggling, more weapons, more drugs, ... If this happens, there would be the hatred against the Mexicans and, of course, racism, because then you will expect only bad from the Mexicans. Moreover, this migration policy, to which the building of the wall belongs, is xenophobic. This could make America an even bigger target for terrorist attacks.
So it will not make the state "safer" either. Many people think that the wall will stop drug and arms trafficking and terrorism. Yes, it may be a bit less, but you have to remember that drugs, weapons, etc. can also be transported by air and water. Building a wall in the air or in the water is simply impossible. Therefore, I can say without a doubt that crime will not be improved by a wall on land.
First of all, the wall makes it very difficult for the needy and the poor to find a way to a better life in the US. The United States is living a good life while a few miles south of the border, in Mexico, the poverty is already having a terrible impact. Not to forget, many Mexicans would die while trying to cross the wall.
Even the US would not benefit from the wall. The migrants take over the poorly paid jobs in the US. So, when this wall is built, there will be no cheap workers in the US because none of the Americans will take on a low-paid job. As a result, unemployment in the US will increase.
In conclusion, I assume that the construction of the wall, is bad for the migrants as well as for the USA. If Trump builds the wall, there would be arms trafficking, drug trafficking and migration anyway. In addition, migrant smuggling, hate and racism would increase dramatically.
