Violence, there have been many theories on what can influence this destructive behaviour, but my theory, the Vision theory, which falls into one of the grand theories, the behavioural perspective. My theory is based on two simple points. Observing and reacting, as technology has advanced, video games have become more realistic and violent than ever before, giving you a'real life experience'. Same with TV programs and movies, they have gotten more violent than ever.

As video games were first invented they were not as influential on people as now, as technologies have advanced, so have video games. They have become more realistic and violent than ever and also have become very addictive. Last year as the trailer for the new first shooter game call of duty: modern warfare 3 had released, people were and could not wait, but unfortunately the game had been banned in the UK as it seemed to be too violent. In over 25 countries they have banned more than a hundred games due to the violent and aggressive actions/behaviour shown. These following examples are just a few from many.

Xiao Yi was 13 when he jumped from the top of a 24-story building. The note he left behind for his parents was written from the point of view of video game character. Further, the note detailed his wish to meet three of his gaming friends in the afterlife. His parents asked him, at one point, about his addiction. He replied that he "had been poisoned by games, and could no longer control himself".

In 2007, a 13-year old boy named Dinh the Dan killed an 81 year old woman, and stole her money in order to fund an online gaming addiction. Vietnamese police reported that Dan strangled the woman with a piece of rope, and then buried her in a pile of sand in front of his house. Owing to his age, he was not sent to prison, but to re-education camp.

There is little doubt that Devin Moore's cop-killing spree and subsequent theft of a police cruiser were inspired by the ultraviolent video game series Grand Theft Auto. Moore took one gun from an officer, shot three others with it, and fled the station in a police cruiser. Moore was obsessed with the GTA series of video games, and once captured, he told the police "life is like a video game. You've got to die sometime."
