All my life I have had pets. Many different kinds from dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits, birds, turtles, and fish and at one point even a snake. I have a true passion for there well being I can never turn down an abandoned animal, this is why I want to become a Veterinarian. I know this career is a lot of hard work. But I'm willing to do as much as I have to accomplish my dreams.
A Veterinarian is "a doctor whose primary responsibility is protecting the health and welfare of animals and people" . I know you must think how do veterinarians help people, well they help animals by diagnosing and treating animals diseases they also prevent there owners from contracting whatever the animals have. They make sure the animals are getting the proper nutrition they need. They also involved in wildlife preservation from the human population.
Not only do you have to be able to understand and deal with animals but with there owners as well. People love there pets as if they were part of the family. Pet owners range from all ages. As a vet you have to be able to communicate with there owners with what is wrong with them and to deal with the grief and loss of one of these precious family members.
To become a Veterinarian, after high school you must attend college for four years and earn a bachelor's degree. During that time many Preveterinarian courses should be taken such as chemistry, physics, biochemistry, zoology, biology etc. other course should be taken as well like general business management and career development this helps teach you now to run a practice efficiently.
