This article should be good news for all asthma humans around the world. After reading the entire article, I had more questions then answers, however there was a glimmer of hope that will always lie with an asthmatic person. This article and others that I have read only state that mice have been tested. Even though mice are always tested before proceeding onto humans, I still think that there is a chance that there hypothesizes could be incorrect until proven on a human. Then another important question that I think of is if the NKT cells are removed from a human will anything else within the human body be affected? Could the removal of these cells cause cancer or any other disease to have easier access to enter a persons body?
There are two experiments that are worth trying. First, trying it on another animal that have the same NKT cells that a human or mice have. This way you could broaden your results instead of only stating that it worked on mice. Secondly, is to test on a human. Since scientists state that mice and human NKT cells are the same
then they will need to share that information so that people are aware before having botox is injected into their body. This article intrigued me, as it is correct in stating that there could be a potential biological warfare. Imagine how deadly that botox can be if in the hands of a deadly terrorist and being able to paralyze people.
