Training:

Training is a process of acquisition of knowledge. Training can be also be referred as learning. Every organization knows the importance of Training. Technology and Domain knowledge is dynamic and varies day by day. In order to meet client expectations and to keep themselves updated to the current technology, Organization shows great interest in training their employees.

Tiruvalluvar explains the importance of training and knowledge in the couplet 396. More the sand is dug, the level of spring water increases. Similarly to the extent the person reads, the knowledge increases. The importance of reading and training is clearly explained in this couplet.

Promotion:

Promotion is the process of uplifting the employee to next highest level job. Promotion plays an important role in the Organization. The suitable employee has to be selected to be uplifted. Promotion depends on the hard work of the employee, how the employee is social with other employees, domain knowledge of the employee.

In the couplet 595, Tiruvalluvar explains the concept of promotion. Flowers in the pond stays in the same height as the level of water in the pond. Similarly the merit and promotion is also related to the hard work and determination of the person.

Mentoring:

Mentoring is defined as the guidance by the experienced person to the less-experienced person in developing the skills, knowledge and personally too. Mentor guides the person when in needy. Mentor helps the person during crisis and shows him correct path. Role of mentor plays an important role since it helps in individual growth and finds the suitable successor.

A leader who doesn't have a proper mentor will ruin him even if there is no enemy or competitor. It implies a leader cannot function independently and needs frequent suggestion from the mentor. This concept was explained in the couplet 448.

Leadership:

Leadership is the ability of the person to manage and motivate the sub ordinates to achieve the common goal. Leadership plays an important role since the leader has the sole responsibility to achieve the goal, manage the employees, and understand the needs and problems of the employees.

The kingdom of the leader, who is simple in his appearance and who don't speak harsh word, will the role model for other kingdom. This couplet 386 explains the character a leader should possess to have a good organization.

Empowerment:

Empowerment is the practice of sharing knowledge, rewards to satisfy and improve satisfaction among the employees. It also includes proper delegation, giving power to the employees to keep them happy.
