When you become a teacher, you also become the guidance counselor in class. And being a Guidance Counselor needs a long time process of learning, practicing, and developing personal skills and of course your patience and understanding. You should learn how to deal with your patients. Because all of them has a different cultures that makes them different in to you. Though I'm not going to become a guidance counselor, I will be a teacher counselor who will help to address the different problems of m clientele that may arise. And this seminar is about overcoming challenges of a teacher counselor.
This seminar helped me in becoming a person who can overcome all the challenges of an effective and efficient teacher counselor.
I have learned the true meaning of self-respect, self-efficacy and self-esteem. With this I have learned that I have love level of these characteristics a teacher counselor must possess during the different activities in the seminar.
I realized that I need to learn how to respect, trust and love myself in order for me to surpass all the problems and challenges life has to offer. I learned that the first person who can help me solving my problems is I. The one who can help me in times of hardships and downfalls is I so i must not lose her.
I realized that it's not helping if I always blame myself for all the decisions and mistakes that i made, instead I must stand up and face the world and try to make difference. I need to love and value myself so that I can also be loved by other people. I had a lot of fun there. I enjoyed the seminar even though it is tiring. It was a memory to cherish especially because I'm with my second family the BEEd IV-A, whom I love so much.
