Just a little line of poesy,
To let you know we're fine and rosey.
Composed by someone brown and white,
Who's not supposedly able to write.
With floppy ears and sad eyes too,
This poem I send from me to you.
"A dog weild a pen? That's absurd." you say.
Dogs are for romping, petting and play.
"How could it be? A paw hold a pen?
To have such dexterity comes only from men."
But, yes it is true! I have this trait!
My paws grasp a pen, and frankly quite straight!
A four-legged hound, conjure such wit?
Believe it! Alas, for here it is writ!
The "Boxer" is a breed apart from the rest.
Intelligent, athletic, and full of zest!
We're loveable, cuddly and also quite pomp.
Yet, with vim and vigor we love to romp.
Along with speed, grace and agility,
A Boxer is endowed with poetic ability.
Mindful, noble and brimming with esteem,
We are said to be "a dog lover's dream".
As all doggies do, I run and I play,
And somehow I manage to snooze most the day.
Whilst I snooze and dream where to roam,
I mentally recite the verse of a poem.
After a nap, upon waking up,
'Tis then I become a spry "odest pup".
By day, I play with toys in the yard,
By night I write with a pen as a bard.
"Could it be? pup wield a pen?"
Should you not believe it, I'll write you again.
As I write this prose, I am thinking of you.
Also subconsciously, the babies toys too!
Ahh, babies toys, what a treat they would be!
To gnaw and to bark at and to hide just for me.
