Discuss reasons why Rome fell. What happened to Europe after Rome fell? What are some artistic changes between the style of the Roman Empire and the Medieval style?

The cause of the Fall of Rome is related to many factors such as Christianity, difficulty of government, the decline of the slave trade, the increasing gap between the rich and the poor, failing economy, fast expansion of the Empire, natural disease, etc. The rapid growth of the Empire led to the need to defend the borders and territories of Rome. The people of the conquered lands, most of them were referred to as Barbarians, hated the Romans. Also During the time of the Roman Empire there were not only foreign wars, civil wars, street fights, fires and revolts there were also natural disasters such as plagues, famines and earthquakes. After the fall of Rome, it was the dark age, and the Roman withdrew from Britain, French and Spain.

There are some artistic changes : use of the arch and the techniques of concrete and brick construction, contributed domed and stone vaulted types of construction that enclose vast areas of interior space. The romans imitated and borrowed Hellenic models, developed brass instruments (horns, drums for military use) ,etc.
