Abstract
In this paper, the issue being addressed is the lack of agricultural education in Burma, Asia. Burma, a region rich in natural resources, lacks the understanding of how to efficiently work their resource rich soil. We would like to educate the inhabitants of Burma in various ways, in order for them to properly use their land for sufficient income. Our strategy involves using organically grown rice, such as the C4 rice plant, to reduce the cost of fertilizing chemicals and thus increase the overall income of the residents of Burma.

Dans ce rapport, la question abordée est le manque de l'enseignement agricole en Birmanie, en Asie. Birmanie, une région riche en ressources naturelles, n'a pas la compréhension de la façon de travailler efficacement sur leur sol qui est riche en ressources. Nous aimerions tient à informer les habitants de la Birmanie de diverses façons de bien utiliser leurs terres pour un revenu suffisant. Notre stratégie consiste à utiliser le riz biologique, comme la plante du riz C4, à réduire le coût des produits chimiques et donc la fertilisation augmenter le revenu global des habitants de la Birmanie.
Conceptualization
Burma, also known as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is a region rich in agricultural resources and was once Asia's largest exporter of rice. Burma, located in Southeast Asia, between Bangladesh and Thailand, is governed by a military regime. The CIA (The CIA World Fact book) states that Burma is "a resource-rich country" that "suffers from pervasive government controls, inefficient policies, corruption and rural poverty." Although Burma is very rich in natural resources, it fails to provide wealth to the public due to corruption and exploitation. The development issue being addressed, in this region, is the lack of education, and therefore lack of motivation, in areas such as agriculture and farming. An increase of education in this area will provide inhabitants with insight on how to use and work the land more efficiently and thus acquire profits and improve the standard of living.
A large development issue in Burma is the lack of education, motivation and incentive to do well in the field of agriculture, due to the absence of Governmental funding and support. According to Thawnghmung (2003), the lack of support from the Government drives township and agricultural officials to increase their incomes by selling chemical fertilizers, gasoline and pesticides at higher prices to farmers. These products were initially to be distributed to farmers, thus causing the prices of these goods to increase. This is one of the many issues that proves how the lack of funding from Burma's Government affects the incentive of farmers to do well, due to the lack of instruction and presence of corruption in this area.
The socioeconomic conditions of Burma can negatively affect our development goal, because there is no certainty that funding or support will be provided for, by the region, for the education of its inhabitants. In Burma, the prices of agricultural supplies and the suppression, by government officials, of the markets needed to expand agriculturally, lead to the lack of motivation of the farmers in expanding production (Warr, 2000). Because farmers are so poorly motivated to continue producing, the education that can possibly be provided may do no good if they cannot find the incentive to expand their crops and potentially increase their incomes and the overall standard of living.
Our goal is to provide the inhabitants of Burma with a greater understand of agricultural work in their region, in order to improve the amount of production, as well as allow the country to become more self-sufficient and increase incomes. Through our study, we have concluded that Burma does indeed need to be educated about their land, but this education may not be fully support by the Government and its officials. We hope to improve Burma's socioeconomic status by motivating the public to expand production and potentially decrease Governmental corruption and manipulation.
