The book"The Goal"was written by Eliyahu M.Goldratt.In this book,it talks about some concepts and theories of manufacturing by telling a story about a plant manager, Alex Rogo, who was given an order from his boss that he needed to make the plant made profit in three months. I found many concepts are very useful. And there are three concepts that I think it is important for managing a company and I want to mention here, which are having a clear goal, the higher productivity and the need to manage inventory efficiently.

The first concept is having a clear goal which can give the company a good direction to success. Having a clear goal can help the manager to make a right decision, such as having a good strategies that how to operate their business. The main character, Alex Rogo, he have no idea about the goal for his plant at the beginning. However, he figured out the real goal for his plant is making money after he talked to Jonah in the O'Hare Airport. For example, I like cars such as Lamborghini and Bentley. Those cars are very expensive, but I love them. My goal is to buy those dream cars. If I want to buy them, I have to earn much money for them. For achieving my goal, I understand that I need to study hard and graduate from university. I can get a good job which with good paid after I graduate, so that I can buy all my dream cars. Because I have a clear goal, I know what I should do and which direction I should go to.
