The giver is about an eleven-year-old boy, Jonas that lives in an unordinary society. Jonas, his mother and father, Lily, and Gabriel are some of the characters of The Giver. There in an ideal community that everyone is the same. Their set in and time that's unknown in the past. The Giver is a very unusual story that's kind of easy to understand.

First, the story is in Jonas's perspective and it revolves around him. Everyone is precise in their language and their all the same. His dad release babies if their kicked out by the society. During lunch they talk about a feeling they had today. When Gabriel came they looked different to the others with their light eyes. You have to teach a sibling to ride a bike before nine as a ritual. When your eleven the watch you and then they determine your career.

Next, the Giver gives wisdom to Jonas about his memories. Jonas is given his first memory. Jonas figures out it's not so hard to obey the rules with his position he is given. When The Giver tells Jonas information Jonas learns new very quickly. With all this knowledge he cannot explain it to his children. The Giver and Jonas haves a close connection they can feel each other's pain.

Then, Jonas finds out that when his dad releases babies he actually kills them out of sight. Jonas's father tries to kills Gabriel if he doesn't keep quite at the nursery. Jonas and Gabriel runs away, and their being searched by the society by planes to capture them. Jonas uses memories to keep them cold so the plane's heat censor. They escape the society and the find a village that sings this is the first time Jonas has heard singing. Jonas makes it to this village at Christmas, and he stays with this village and leaves everything behind and out of his memories.

Last, this was a really virtuous book it was exciting, and there was some close calls in this book. This book is modest and it's a fantastic to read. If reading is for you this would be a great book for a good reader. You really be inspired by this book and you will cherish this story. I haven't heard a bad review for this book yet. This story was great you should read this.
