The Culinary Experience
Thousands of supermarkets are across our country but only one truly caters to every culinary need of their customers. Family owned, Wegmans Markets, captivate their shoppers
It all starts when a customer walks in the front door. Their first decision needs to be made - what size cart do they need? Carts range from small, medium and large. There is always the small carrying cart for the customer with a few items to get.
Through the main entrance the journey begins. The produce department is overwhelming. Every kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable is displayed. Many times there is an employee giving out free sample of some new fruit that many people never even heard of.
Off to the bakery, they go. Breads of every kind are displayed on the shelves. Along side them are rolls, muffins, bagels and donuts. Each are more inviting than the other. The pastries and baked goods are delicious. People swarm around to buy the "Ultimate Chocolate Cake" and the "Fruit Tart".
The meat department is huge, Customers have to decide if they want their meat fresh or frozen. A seafood section is also included with such exotic fish and delicies of the sea.
The prepared foods such as pizza, hoagies, the salad bar, the Asian bar and the meal of the day are just waiting for those customers who want an easy way out of not cooking for the day. Off to the side is the drinks which contain all soft drinks from different sodas to iced teas, The lastest addition to this area is the selling of foreign and domestic beers. This is a real convenience to the shopper who doesn't want to have to drive to the beer store.
Now they are off to the deli. This is always an interesting place. They take a number to be waited on and they can be sure that there are going to be 10 people ahead of them. Their variety of meats and cheeses are enticing. People always end up buying something else besides what they came for.
Now they are entering the international aisles where they can get anything from European to Asian cuisine. These are the aisles where people go usually because of their ethnic backgrounds to make those meals or get those spices that can only be found in their countries,
Oh , the most popular aisle for young shoppers is the candy aisle. Hundreds of different candlies make the taste buds go wild, There is always a great selection of candies for the upcoming holiday or candies from long ago that are hard to find. This aisle is definitely a sweet adventure,
Off to the regular grocery aisles is always fun. People always find whatever product they are in search of. It's hard to maneuver down these aisles because they are always filled with many shoppers.
