The Computer

One of the most important inventions that have changed people's lives is the computer. Not many people notice how important the computer actually is. It has created jobs, given people the opportunity to search anything they need to know, and download many types of media. Without it, we would not have a lot of technology and equipment we have today. The computer has given people opportunities that they did not have before.

In the United States there are many jobs with working on a computer. Some Americans could spend up to multiple hours doing work on the computer, as to others who spend their whole day on it. Jobs using a computer could include programmers, bloggers, or a graphic designer.

Another reason why I believe the computer is a very important invention is that you are able to search almost anything. Google.com, ask.com, and bing.com are some search engines people tend to use. With these search engines, you may search anything in the world you need to know. A lot of information is stored on the internet which is very important for people who need to know something about a certain topic. This is important for everyone, not just people who spend a lot of time on the computer.

The last reason is the fact you can download all types of media onto your own computer. You can store thousands of songs, movies, and programs. Without the computer, most people listened to CD's through a CD player. Now you can as many CD's onto your computer as you wish. Movies were played on a TV, now you may watch whatever movie you would like on your desktop.

These are only a few reasons why I believe the computer is one of the most important inventions. It has created jobs, given us the freedom of browsing, and downloading all types of media. The computer is used worldwide and is something everyone should have access to.
