In regards of Texas state government, plural executives is a system set in place that limits the power of the governor. Unlike the nominated members of the cabinet that serve in favor to the president, the state elected political leaders work independently without having to answer to the governor. There is only one official that is appointed by the governor which is the Secretary of State. The system paves the way for competitive parties in support of their own specific goal, which places frustration for the governor and much confusion for the executive branch at times. In comparison to the president the power of the Texas governor is severely limited due to plural executives.

Texas elect a total of six members that make plural executive those being: the governor, the lieutenant governor, the attorney general, the commissioner of agriculture, the land commissioner, the comptroller, and the commission of General Land Office. The Secretary of State is the seventh and only official that the governor has authority to place into office. The fact that Texas has several political leaders in charge of certain state matters is benefit, an asset that makes Texas strong. This allows all beliefs, ideas, and visions for the state to be heard and discussed. The pressure and responsibilities that are normally placed solely on the governor and the lieutenant are equally distributed. The only aspect I view in a lesser light is that the governor does not have to be a required approval. Just as the president has the right to reject or approve congress in national matters, so should the state governor. If the political parties all held some say so over one another the rivalry of competition would no long be an issue. The structure of plural executives allows for a solid strong foundation for the state to thrive on. Grasping on the potential that each political leader can offer in helping big a bigger and better state. In the topic of relative powers a factor would be the federal government. Being that the federal government has jurisdiction in matters pertaining to the nation and superiority over the states. Meaning the federal government has the final say so and that would reign over the Texas governor.

Greg abbot is current governor of Texas and despite facing many obstacles in his personal life, he manages to not let it affect his polecat place in off. I am a supporter of abbot and his prime focus to ensure all citizens feel safe and secure. His stance for better Texas is based on the educational system, economic opportunities, and limited government. The importance he places on the safety for children in both the physical and virtual world. Shortly after Abbot was elected in office the Cyber Crime Unit was established. The purpose for the organization specializes in the arrest of predators that prey in digital world. Abbot also created a Medical Fraud unit that works to eliminate abuse of the elderly. The many changes that have been created in thanks to him have benefited all those who reside in Texas. The strength Abbot radiates is a characteristic that I admire and fully support for Texas State governor, overall giving Abbot a rate of 10 and even that begin an underestimate to all the great things he has done.
