When introducing a new technology system you have to make sure the plan that was created during the process of producing this new technology should result effectively when introduced to the buyers. It's useless to purchase new technology if you don't know the framework for how it will be used. As a manager, it's important defining the goals that will provide the obvious need. Defining the goals of the new technology to be implemented requires examining the company and locate where improvements may benefit. Defining the goals also allows for a direct explanation of why installing this new system helps the company. This particular information comes in handy when presenting the implementation plan to upper management. After the goals become established, conducting research determines the means to reach these goals.

The first phase is for the company to prepare a plan. This plan should include an evaluation of the company's business practices. After conducting the evaluation, the company can conclude; how the impact affects and how to implement the plan with the support that is required. The analysis of the results will then give the company's upper management enough information to make a wise decision. According to an article by Massaro (2009), he stresses some key points when evaluating one's business and implement changes to improve the bottom line. The article also points out that the process should thoroughly review the business process and reinvent the business if necessary. The company should have an open mind especially to new business principles (Massaro, 2009). It's important to involve your staff as well within the technology implementation plan as soon as you can. They may have questions and you need to be there in order to answer cordially in order to be successful. While you in the other hand may be excited about the upcoming new technology, some of your staff might be quite anxious about it. They may feel uncomfortable with the possibility of having to change their routines and how those changes can affect their job and they also fear losing their jobs as well.

An intricate new technology system regularly entails considerable business learning, adjustments to company procedures, with the addition to fresh outlooks and attitudes on the part of management and employees that will be making use of the technology (University of Phoenix, 2008). This extended period of adaptation to and assimilation of the new technology requires implementation management, a discipline that focuses on the period after the delivery or acquisition of the information system (Thielst, 2007).

The training process prior to introducing this new technology is important. It is essential that everyone within the company affected by the new technology is adequately trained. Yes, the training process may be boring at times but one must take the necessary steps when it comes to understanding how this new technology works and how does it better the company and so forth. Make sure that you incorporate simple questions into the conversations with your staff to determine how their learning is progressing. This can help you identify the possible training points that may need to be reviewed to have a better understanding.

Practice makes perfect as well. Take the time before live day of introducing this new technology for your staff to work with it so they may know what needs to be done which will also help when it comes to explaining this new technology. The more times they can use it in a hands-on mode, the more comfortable they will feel upon implementation.

Analyzing information allows for appropriate decisions to be made when designing the plan. Research provides information on the different types of technologies to decide on. Research also provides information on how each technology benefits and detracts from the company, and this information should be analyzed with the stakeholders in mind. Analyzing
