For years now, technology makes a collaborative relationship between a plan and its providers possible. Technology, in general has an important roles in our day-to-day operation and management and this includes businesses and organization as well.
In this case study, Boeing has taken a major step to instigate online collaboration with different significant partners around the world to enhance their productivity. Technology comes along with online collaboration as online collaboration between partners halfway around the world needed an internet connection and abundant tools to communicate. The technology makes it much easier for individuals, groups and organizations like Boeing to share and comment on information, making it more likely that decisions will be based on wider input. Like the software used by Boeing, it enables a plan to make changes quickly and efficiently without introducing errors, and then to communicate changes throughout an organization.
With appropriate accessible technology, organizations can help reduce costs of time lost and money spent when an employee or partners develops a temporary disability. Providing accessible technology to collaboration also allows an employee with a temporary disability to remain productive and up-to-date, and may prevent an organization from needing to hire a temporary replacement or letting the work pile up while a valued employee is recovering.
Like mentioned in the case study, it is important to use technology as highly as possible to protect and secure the genuine work of Boeing employees and partners. Technology used such as firewall can protect their precious work from being stolen by online thefts. There are many types of securities provided by third-parties that can be trusted to secure any work done.
