Having goals and objectives in life encourages me to stop, and take inventory of who I really am as a leader in the business world. In my search for an answer , I began to take an inventory of my personal, educational and professional goal essentials, and my development level for each of those goals. I would also like to examined my essential goal objectives from a smart goal perspective.

First, I would like to define what is a smart goal , " Smart is an acronym for the most important five steps in setting quality goals: specific and measurable, attainable, relevant, and trackable and time-bound." Smart goal is simple a tool used by businesses to go beyond the realm of fuzzy goal setting into an actionable plan for results. To be specific and realistic in what I want to accomplish in life from a business point of view is very important in order to set quality goals.

My mother has always told me that I can be whatever I want in life. This has given me an early sense awareness for decision making. It has also developed me into a person that has an open-mind for opportunity and advancement. I have developed self leadership skills that involve's setting goals and moving a vision forward to be a successful leader. Therefore, I would like to invaluation my leadership skills and smart goal objectives, so that I can apply it's true meaning.

I would like to examined my leadership skills, and the development level for each smart goal objective. The author Ken Blanchard brought out some good pointers about self leadership and development level in his book, "Leading At A Higher Level ". Ken Blanchard states, "A self leader is a person who can take the initiative to get what they need to succeed and leaders respond to those needs." On the other hand, Ken Blanchard states, " Development level applies not to the person, but to the person's competence and commitment to do a specific goal or task." Evaluating my leadership skills and development level I would like to apply these concepts to each of my smart goal objectives effectively.

I would like to start by focusing on a personal smart goal objective and my development level, from a self leadership perspective. Presently, I have would like to increase my reading comprehension , motivation, and determination skills. I feel that by acquiring these skills will help me to be better equiped as a leader of an organization in the business world. My smart goal objective is to start reading on 04/19/2012, two hour a day, the author Ken Blanchard book, "Leading At A Higher Level ," because I am a self-reliant achiever (D4).

Secondly, I would like to focus on my educational smart goal objective and my development level, from a self leadership perspective. I am presently taking courses in the Master of Business administration with an Emphasis in Finance. I know that my weaker points will be in higher
