Superstition

I don't believe in ghosts. I never did. I suppose this is one of those things were people have different opinions and beliefs. Of course I'm like every other kid who has had creepy stories told to them while they're huddled around a camp fire, eating marshmallows and looking up at the stars. I used to love things like that, my siblings and I would go down into the beach and the caves near our house and sing cheesy songs before stuffing ourselves with popcorn and turning on the torches to tell ghost stories. My older brother Ted all ways had the best stories, I was the one who just sat and listened and never got scared. Unlike my sisters Roxanne and Lulu who would get scared and end up running back home every time, Peter would pretend he was cool with it but only so he would be more like Ted.

You'll think I'm really weird but I like things like that. I have the attic bedroom in our house and when there's a thunderstorm Lulu will go running into Mum and Dad's room (she is only 8 so I suppose it's understood), but I like to sit by the sloping window and look up at the strong rolling clouds and the rain that pounds down. I like rain two. I like the fact that even though every rain drop is only tiny, when they all come down together they manage to have such and impact.
