What is a single mother? Is it one who destroys their child's life? Is it one who ultimately cannot raise a minor on their own? Or is it one who dedicates their lives to the well-being of their kid? Imagine a mother, and for whatever reason they were left alone to raise a child. That mother you imagined has to work long hours just to put a meal on the table. That mother has to play the role of the mother and father. That mother has no financial support. Unfortunately, in our society, this image of a single mother is looked down upon. There are people that don't realize how much a single mother goes through to give their child a better life.
Over the years the rate of single mothers has increased due to the wide spread acceptance of the trend. The pain and struggle of trying to raise a child on one's own is extremely difficult. Many young single mothers to be and ones who accept this way of living haven't thought about the whole predicament of becoming or being a single mother. There are many factors to consider such as the child's well-being, income, emotional support, which person is going to play the role of the father and many other factors. The dilemma is that single mothers need to be made aware of the many consequences of either subjecting themselves to become a single mother or being subjected, so that they may be able to prevent and or improve their situation not just for themselves, but also the children.
When it comes to the controversial issue of mothering, I believe that a single mother has the ability to raise a child just as effectively as two mothers can. The reasons why are because the minor can learn life lessons that can only be acquired with a single mother, the single guardian can be the best choice for the young one, and a single mother has the ability to put all their attention and care to the son or daughter. Although some readers may object that it is impossible for a single mother to take care of a child than two mothers, I would answer that it is not impossible.
A single mother has the capability to nurture and love a son or daughter just as two mothers can. A single mother sometimes is the best choice of who the minor can be with. A single mother may have challenges, but they can overcome them just to keep the child they love alive and well. Is it time now to realize what a single mother can truly accomplish?
