Should the nuclear power be baned?
It is impossible to destroy or create energy, however it can be converted from one form to another.A tiny nucleus in the center contains a large mass of the atom. There are two particles in the nucleus: the proton is responsible for positive charge and the neutron, wich is netral. The mass of neutron to a certan extent bigger then the mass of proton. The nuclear energy is made from the nucleus of an atom. At the moment of atom division, the energy is produced in a huge proportion.1
Today, nuclear power stations are in 31 different countries. The are 192 power stations in the word. Each of them produce 392082 mvt.2
There are many well-known examples where the use of this type of energy ended with a terrible catastrophe. For example Fukushima Daiichi and Chernobyl noticeable effects so far. What are the advantages of using nuclear power plants, and should they been baned?
Advantages of nuclear power.
Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reports from 1998 show that the emission greenhaus gas has fallen by almost half. This result was achieved thanks to the use of nuclear energy. The is slight effect from the nuclear energy on the atmosphere as it doesn’t produce CO2 and methane which are a colossal cause for greenhouse warming. This kind of energy does not bear any consequences for aquatic life forms. Notwithstanding there are some greenhouses gases which are released during the process of transferring petrol or extracting power from uranium.3
Supply
Setting up nuclear power station and using them in places with limited energy have certain economic advantages. Nuclear power is one of the main sources of electricity throughout the nation. The crucial part is that this energy is an ongoing provider. It is known that resources, such as oil, coil and gas are limited, on the contrary the energy has vast stock, which expected to last during the next 100 years.4
Disadvantages of Nuclear Energy
Despite the large number of privileges of use of nuclear energy as there is a significant number of drawbacks. The are most important of them:
Accidents Happen
It produces a lot of radioactive waste which is harm for the environment as well as to human health. Everybody knows about the catastrophe in Chernobyl. Backwashes of it can be seen even today. During catastrophe 15000 -30000 killed about 15,000 people, and 2.5 million Ukrainians today are suffering from the consequences of the accident.
On March 18 2012, one more nuclear accident happened. At this time, it managed to avoid a huge number of victims, but serious damage to the environment was still applied. These examples perfectly demonstrate that humanity can not provide 100% security at such facilities.5
