How They Are “ Typically “ Served

Lobsters : They are usually boiled or steamed and served with a side of melted butter for sauce. Another common way to have lobsters is a lobster roll. A typical lobster roll consists of lobster meat, mayonnaise, and sometimes a pickle. Personally, I love my Mom’s homemade stir fry ..But that’s not typical. ;)

Shrimps : Shrimps can be served many ways. They can be thrown in some scampi, deep fried, or just a simple shrimp cocktail with some cocktail sauce.

Fish : This one you can do numerous things with. There are so many types of fish : haddock, flounder, mackerel, salmon, tuna, etc.. But lot of times at the pier you can get and order of fish&chips! BUT I LOVE SUSHI!

Clams : The most common way to eat clams is to get some fried clams at the beach. Or perhaps some clam chowdaaa? Some may even eat them raw.

Oysters : Oysters are found also fried. But majority of the time they are served raw on top of a cold tub of ice

Mussels : Mmmmm, mussels, my fav. Okay now I’m going to tell you my favorite way to eat mussels and what i believe is the only way people should be eating them. STEAMED MUSSELS WITH A WHITE WINE GARLIC SAUCE. Don’t give me the side eye, it’s cooking white wine. The alcohol is reduced.

Scallops : FRIED ! FRIED SCALLOPS. THAT IS FINAL!

Crabs : Baltimore is famous for their crab cakes. If you’re ever in Baltimore, crab cakes are a must.

Crawfish : Crawfish can be served in a big pot filled with corn, potatoes, some herbs, and is very well seasoned. After boiling you pour it all out and it’s ready to eat!

Squid : I love the sound of calamari, yum! Calamari is notably fried squid.
