Right Americans

"I don't believe in abortion or homosexuality"

This quote is from "Right Americans feeling wronged", and is said by a slightly older woman and it gives a reasonably good impression of how the Americans in this documentary are. Instead of saying "I am against abortion and homosexuality," this woman says "I don't believe in..." there's a connection to God by saying "believe" instead of "I'm against" and she speaks of these two things like they are so unrealistic and wrong that they shouldn't even exist on the planet. A Republican Party in Montana wants to make homosexuality illegal and The Republican Party is strongly against same sex marriage. They believe that they are defending heterosexual marriages by preventing gay couples from marrying. It is harsh to treat other people like that and if you ask why they do not believe in homosexuality the answers you will mostly get is like Carl Paladino, a republican politician, said: "That's not how God created us, and that's not the example that we should be showing our children". Republicans do only believe that love is meant to be between a man and a woman because that's the way God created it and if love is between two men or two women it is a sin and it shouldn't exist.

In the quote the woman says that she doesn't believe in abortion either and she is not the only one in the documentary who says this. The Republicans view on abortion is that the unborn child has a right to life that you can't take away from it. If a girl or woman gets pregnant without wanting or being ready to get a child will the party ensures that the woman and the baby will get all the help that they need.

I have chosen these two topics because the quote is the one thing of the things that shocked me the most from the documentary because is it two things that I support with all of my heart. I find it really hard to understand how people can be so narrow minded and believe that because love between two men or two women isn't mentioned in the bible is it a sin and you have to be "saved" from yourself and be heterosexual to be one of Gods children. One of the most important things we learn from the bible is love of one's neighbour, to love your enemies, love everyone like you love yourself and that God loves everybody. So how can it be that God do not like homosexuals when he loves everyone? And will God be okay with how the homosexuals are being treated? I think it's horrifying how people can treat people because of what gender they are sexually attracted to. It's not something they decided by themselves, it is the way they are born and it is love. Love shouldn't be judge by anything - it is that one thing in life that no one can control no matter how much they truly
