Reggaeton Case

Known as the kings of urban music, "Chino y Nacho" is a popular reggaeton duo consisting of "Chino" and "Nacho". They are from Venezuela but have gained international recognition, playing in concerts in Miami, Peru, Mexico, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Spain, and many other cities and countries. Their achievements include being nominated for the 2011 Billboard awards nine times, including Latin Artist of the Year and Song of the Year ("Niña Bonita"), and winning Best Urban Music Album at the 2010 Latin Grammys (Source 4). Chino and Nacho also collaborated with Don Omar, another reggaeton artist, to release the song, "Dentro De Mi." Don Omar recently released "Danza Kuduro" which topped the charts in several countries and has received over 240,000,000 views on YouTube (Source 5). Other well-known reggaeton artists include Wisin and Yanel, Plan B, Daddy Yankee, Tito El Bambino, and Baby Rasta (Source 1). They play many famosu songs such as nina bonita, lo que no sabes tu, bla bla bla, tu angelito, el poeta, and more.
Spanish lyrics and beats were added to reggae to created reggaeton, which is an adaption of reggae. Reggaeton can be characterized by its own specific rhythm known as "Dem Bow", explicit lyrics, rapping in Spanish, and influences from rap, hip hop, salsa, bachata, R&B, and rap music. Instruments used in reggaeton include conga drums, bongo drums, guiros, and other percussion instruments but the music is produced with a computer to alter the speed and format of the track.
