1. Definition on recruitment and selection

Recruitment is the process of hiring and identifying the need for a new employee, defining the job, also attracting the best-qualified candidate and selecting who find them qualified for those best suited for the job and it's the first step to make a decision as if they well continuing for the next step which is the 'contract' in this part both they well have influence on each other's expectations.

Selection is a process of hiring and choosing the most suitable people from the options available or obtaining and using information about job applicants in order to determine who should be hired for long- or short- term positions.

Human Resources most important job is the selection and hiring or recruitment of employees. It cannot be faulted that the success of any firm depends on the quality of human resources or talents in that firm. This is why it is very important for any human resources expert to be very sure of hiring the right staff or candidate without compromising anything from the beginning.

Tesco is a company that has a big table to establish the likely demand for new staff. Tesco hiring employees from within the company which had a good advantage like less expensive and quicker, and from external environment which is also had some advantage as bringing new idea .Tesco prefer to look after a new staff internally first, this is a process that lists current employees looking for a move, either at the same level or on promotion. Tesco advertises internally for two weeks for management program. If there are no one suitable for the job then recruitment externally will start.

Tesco start recruitment by advertising in the website, stores, radio and TV. application will be filled online and the selected application is the first step of the selection stage .

Tesco look carefully to all C.V -Screening- and check it if it matching the requirements for the job and that include educational qualifications, Knowledge, abilities, achievements . After this selection Tesco company will refer the candidate to interview
