Part I.        Research Methodology

        A Research design is the blueprint for conducting a study with maximum control over the factors that may interfere with the validity of the findings (Burns and Grove, 2003). It is a plan that describes how, when and where data are collected and analyzed (Polit, et al, 2001). The design is the roadmap and blueprint strategy of investigation conceived so as to obtain answers to the research question.

  1. Research Design

This study about the Rebound, Trampoline Park was done to determine the acceptability of launching a trampoline park.  In order for the researcher to gather relevant information, they have conducted a survey to obtain relevant and sufficient data.

Data collection and Sampling Method Used:

Data collected through the form of a survey were Quantitative and Qualitative data. Quantitative data are information which can be counted or expressed in numerical value, while the Qualitative data are descriptive information which has no numerical value (Cruz, 2015)

.The researchers in the study has identified that quantitative data are regularity of customer visit along with the price in which the respondents are willing to pay in playing in the indoor trampoline park. Qualitative data are the considerations by the respondents in choosing a place to play.

The Sampling Method that the researchers has used is stratified Random Sampling. The Iloilo City population is divided into six brackets based on age. The six brackets consist from ages five to fourteen (5-14), fifteen to twenty-four (15-24), twenty-five to thirty-four (25-34), thirty-five forty-four (35-44), forty-five to fifty-four (45-54) and fifty-five to sixty-nine (55-69). The total population of Iloilo City based from the brackets is 367,422; the Slovin’s formula was used:

                                                                n = number of samples[pic 1]

N = total population

e = margin of error

Objectives:

  1. To determine the feasibility of building a Rebound, Trampoline Park.
  2. To determine the acceptability of having a Rebound, Trampoline Park.
  3. To determine the potential of this project and the viability of its related aspects.
  4. To compute for the Return on Investment (ROI), Payback Period, Net Present Value, Break-even point.

Scope and Limitations

        This feasibility study covers the acceptability of Rebound, Trampoline Park. The respondents for the survey are from ages five (5) years old to sixty-nine (69) years old. The researchers includes all children from six (5) years old to Sixty-nine (69) Years old who mostly are Health Conscious individuals, Group of friends, Family, Athletic individuals especially the Parkour or obstacle course enthusiast, Students and Professionals. The researchers also consider that from ages 5 to 10 will be allowed to play if they have a parent or guardian with them in the facility.

The researchers did not include children ages form zero (0) to four (4) years old due to their inability to be responsible in the facility and their strong independence to their parents. For the ages 70 and above, Persons with disability and Pregnant Women, the researchers did not include due to health issues they might have and due to strenuous activity that the facility offers. Error in judgment by the persons making this study due to inexperience may result to formulating a different conclusions and recommendations. Also, this study is basically a forecast. Any significant change in the actual business conditions as compared to assumption used in making the forecast will render an additional study to be conducted to prove the effect of the changes on the result of the study.
