The title in the literacy "Reading Ourselves and the World Around Us" is a very strong and suitable title. The purpose of Alberto's writing is to encourage more readers to connect and interpret what they are reading, seeing, or hearing. This is exactly what the title is getting at; Reading, seeing or hearing everything that is happening in the world around us. The precise detail of a tree, the exact pitch of a sound or the immense detail of a word or story. I think an important quote was "No one had performed the magic for me. I and the shapes were alone together, revealing ourselves in a silently respectful dialogue." This really showed the importance of having your own perspective on things we analyze. In conclusion, the title was very suitable for the literacy.

Reflection - Hometown
I learned that if your proposal seems good when you first hand it in, but then as you start to write about it you find better ideas to not be afraid to change your paper. I started off writing about the Calgary Stampede, but then quickly realized it was harder to write about then I thought. I also know in the future we have paper on events so I also thought would save it for that. After realizing I found new ideas, I completely change everything I had written and started fresh. My revisions that I received were not promising on the Calgary Stampede, so I also learned how to take in the information of my peers. It was obvious they were not intrigued, and my introduction was confusing to them. With this evident evidence I changed my paper to new strengths of my hometown. Things that attract the most people, like the Rocky Mountains. This was a lot easier to write about because there is so much to do in the Rockies, and it is very easy to be descriptive. In the end, I realized to not be afraid to do a 180-degree turn after your paper has gotten revised. If you feel like you have better ideas, and time to start fresh, go for it.
