In this essay we will mention the similarities and difference of the themes violence and isolation in both the movie and the story. The movie and story have many similarities and differences, which mostly revolve around violence and isolation in both different situations. In the reader's opinion both the movie "Quarantine" and the story "The Most Dangerous Game" they both have the theme of violence and isolation.
The similarities of violence in between "Quarantine" and "The Most Dangerous Game" were that both the violence was against humans. In the movie Quarantine the zombie humans who were affected by a dog and passed it on to one another, the zombie attacked the humans that were not harmed by that infection. In the story The Most Dangerous Game, General Zaroff enjoys the violence of his hunts for humans. This shocks Rainsford but in his fight to stay alive he becomes caught up in Zaroff's game. This gets Rainsford to hunt Zaroff and kill him instead which is also violence against humans. In both the story and the movie the violence kills humans in a cruel way.
The differences of violence in between "Quarantine" and "The Most Dangerous Game"
In Quarantine the ill zombie like humans were attacking the other unharmed humans. This eventually got the other humans affected one by one by this virus. When then were cruelly attacked and bitten. In the story The Most Dangerous Game, the human actually hunted other humans for pleasure. "Oh," said the general, "I give him his option, of course. He need not play that game if he doesn't wish to. If he does not wish to hunt, I turn him over to Ivan." Zaroff enjoyed the hunts of humans because of the pleasure and thrill, which influences Rainsford in his survival to live to cruelly kill General Zaroff in the end. In Quarantine humans are being attacked, and in The Most Dangerous Game then people are being hunts like animals.
The similarities of isolation in the movie "Quarantine" and story "The Most Dangerous Game." In both the movie and the story there was isolation, and no way of leaving the isolated situation they were in. The movie Quarantine shows the characters trapped in a building with now way out, they were being isolated from the world outside. In the story The Most Dangerous Game they were also trapped on an island and no way out. The island was wild and uncontrollable and there was no way off without a ship and every ship would get shipwrecked.
In both situations the characters were isolated from the real world and had no communication outside from there isolated land.
