Quantifiable Elements
Quantifiable elements are crucial to understanding if a business plan is succeeding. Quantifiable elements are essential in evaluating, monitoring, and controlling the effectiveness of a marketing plan. The most important aspect of a marketing plan is keeping customers happy. Some of the important elements are profit, web statistics, qualified sales lead, and audience response. Profits are the easiest way to track the success of a marketing plan. The daycare center would use profits to ensure they are making a profit from the reduced rate charged to the employees. Wal-Mart makes a profit every year; therefore it would be able to support the center. The center would want to ensure they make enough to pay the childcare workers. If part of the marketing plan involves efforts designed to drive customers to a website, use web analytics programs to follow the numbers. Web Statistics would not be used as the daycare center is for employees only. Many marketing plans are designed to increase sales leads. Work with the sales team to monitor the number of qualified leads that come in response to a marketing effort. The daycare center could have a sales team to make sure that the concerns the employees may have are answered and possibly to attract the employee's not using the services. A quick way to get direct feedback from the employees would be to use surveys. To get quantifiable results, design the survey to get solid numbers by using yes or no questions. A survey is most effective when it has a clear purpose. This would ensure that the employees are happy with the center. The sales team would also be able to talk directly with the parents about any concerns or questions about the children's daily habits.
