Eco fashion- the hot new thing

Eco-fashion is a wide topic which not only includes clothing but also various other eco- friendly aspects like cars, furniture, paints, and marriages. It includes anything and everything made from organic materials. Eco-fashion is yet in its early developing stage. As the year passes by eco fashion is catching up speed, it is a very relevant topic because global warming is increasing at a fast pace, too. Thus, to support this noble cause we have chosen this topic. Unrefined or reused materials are used for making garments and accessories in eco-fashion. Keira Knightly, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hilary Duff, Madonna and George Clooney have all been spotted following eco-fashion.
Coco Chanel, a famous fashion designer has quoted that "Fashion is not something that exists only in dresses. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
Eco-fashion is applied to various aspects of life such as:
1) Lifestyle-the way we live
2) Clothing-includes garments and the way we wear them
3) Marriage-green weddings
1) Lifestyle
a) Eco-paints: They are prepared using natural and organic materials. The New Time Company, U.K makes such paints. Workshops and lectures had been conducted for students to make simple, cheap but yet beautiful eco-friendly holi colors from plants and flowers, by Clean- India, campaigning against the use of toxic holi colours.
b) Tofu bear: This bear is made up of tofu or rather the remains of Soya bean. It is a great gift for an eco-friendly person. Along with the manufacturing of tofu bear there are other tofu gift items such as tofu swing sweets keychain, starwars and panda series.
c) OZOcar: New York's first hybrid Eco Luxury Car Service is called the OZOcar. OZOcar services were founded by Jordan Harris and Roo Rogers. OZOcars are eco-friendly because they use 70% less gas, it uses electricity in heavy traffics thus preventing emissions of poisonous gases, saving the nonrenewable source of energy and keeping the environment pollution free. Along with being eco-friendly it has the added features of WiFi, iBook etc.
2) Eco-Clothing
The nonprofit Sustainable Technology Education Project (STEP) defines eco-fashion as clothes "that take into account the environment, the health of consumers and the working conditions of people in the fashion industry."
Designers had been experimenting with the organic and natural fibers for years but so called eco-fashion was best portrayed in, at New York City's famed Fashion Week on February 2005. Outfits made from eco- friendly fabrics were showcased in this event. Designer Richie Rich quoted that "people find fashion world as fake" and so he feels good for working with eco- friendly fabrics. He was quite concerned to work with these fabrics before but he confirms that these fabrics are easy to design and very comfortable to wear.
Advantages: In the production of eco-clothes harmful chemicals and bleaches are not used. It can be used in making high quality and long lasting garments.
3) Marriage:

1) Ring selection: You can use vintage rings or old gold melted down jewelry, or diamonds certified as "conflict free" (an ongoing effort to reform diamond mining in Africa under the Kimberly process).
2)Choosing the venue for 'THE BIG DAY': To reduce the traveling time and cost for the invitees choose a place that is easily accessible, it could be a unique spot like an organic restaurant, a botanical garden, etc. Horse-drawn carriages, cycle rickshaws, or hybrid cars should be used for the arrival of the guests.
