R: Most of times Developing the schedule involves a WBS, analyzing activity sequences, activity resource estimates, and activity duration estimates to create de Project Schedule.
2. How many types of logical relations the precedence diagramming method has?
R: There are 4 possible types of logical relationships: Finish-to-Start, Finish-to-Finish, Start-to-Start, and Start-to-Finish.
3. How does the Finish-to-Start (FS) relations work?
R: The initiation of work of the successor activity depends upon the completion of work of the predecessor activity. (Also called logical relationship).
4. What does duration critical path identify?
R: It will identify if the project will be delayed if an activity is delayed. It determines potential issues in the project schedule.
Critical path is made up of activities that cannot be delayed without delaying the finish of the entire project.
5. What are the objectives of schedule compression?
R: Schedule compression shortens the project schedule without changing the project scope, to meet schedule constraints, imposed dates, or other schedule objectives. It may use different techniques.
6. Who is responsible for realistic and accurate estimation of the project?
R: Project Managers, the key to complete successfully a project is an accurate estimate and a realistic risk assessment.
7. What is the purpose of project cost management plan?
R: To describe how the organization will manage cost variances on the project. To ensure the project team completes a project within an approved and realistic budget, since they were already involve in approving it.
Project managers must make sure their projects are well defined, have accurate time and cost estimates. They may also satisfy project stakeholders while continuously striving to reduce and control cost.
