Specific purpose: To explain why product design is important in China market for my audience.
Introduction
Nowadays, product design is becoming a hot issue which attracts many people's attentions. I would like to introduce about it, as it has become increasingly important in today's fast-paced, globally competitive environment, especially in China market. More and more companies in China have realized the importance of product design. For example, Sony was trying to understand the lives of young Chinese by giving 50 0f them digital cameras and asking them to document their daily life in photographs. Then according to these photographs, the product designer can design the product which can meet customer needs and wants.

The importance of product design in China market can be expressed into two perspectives.
From customer's perspective
Make customer satisfied
Translate customer wants and needs into product and service requirements.
Set the characteristics, features and performance of the service or good that customers demand
From customer perspective
Improve firms' competitiveness
Capture China market shares
Build own brand and make their brand more valuable.

Boost up sales
Conclusion:
Product design is crucial in today's China Market. For customers, product design is the key factor to make them satisfied. On the other hand, for companies, product design can help companies to be more competitive and make their brand more valuable; last but not least, product design can increase the value of the company.
