1/ Problem-solving styles are the way people gather and evaluate information for decision making. Information is gathered by sensation (emphasizing details, facts, and routine) or by intuition (looking for the "big picture" and being willing to deal with various possibilities). Information is evaluated by thinking (using reason and analysis) or by feeling (responding to the feelings and desires of others). After doing the multiple choice questions my scores are:
Sensing (S Type) :-2
Intuitive (N Type): 4
Thinking (T Type): 1
Feeling (F Type) :-5
Due to my scores, my style preference is N Type (intuitive) and F Type (feeling). Therefore, according to Myers Briggs Type Indicator, my problem-solving style is Intuitive Feelers who prefer broad and global issues. They are insightful and tend to avoid details, being comfortable with intangibles; they value flexibility and human relationships.
2/ There are some general characteristic of intuitive feelers such as curious, insightful, and imaginative. As my problem-solving style is intuitive feelers, I might have some strong points and weak points as well. One of my strong points is that I want to help others toward self-knowledge as well. I want to explore ideas, find new solutions to problems, that why I prefer searching for new ways to express myself or activities which allow me to use my imaginations and do things in my own ways. In additional, I often feel constrained or frustrated by external rules or schedules. Therefore, I cannot work in a modeled and disciplined environment. I prefer not to follow step-by-step procedures but rather to move where my intuition takes me, therefore, sometime I might not be able to find the solution because of skipping some important things that I think unnecessary. I prefer to find my own solutions rather than being told what to do or how to do it, however, my solutions are not always the right solution to solve a problem. Because I just base on my intuitive often take circuitous routes to solving problems and may not be able to explain how I arrived at the answer. Beside, because of being often engaged in a number of activities at the same time and moving from one to the other according to where my interests take me, I often start more projects than I can finish.
3/ To improve my problem-solving and decision-making skills, i will try to find interesting and attractive points of the projects which I find boring in order to feel more enthusiastic to work with them. I will learn how to associate effectively
