Disorders
My Research paper is about disorders. I chose this topic because I thought that it was very interesting and I felt like I would really enjoy doing it This topic became very interesting to me when I met somebody with a disorder; Autistic disorder. They were going through a very hard time and I had no idea what it felt like. Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication and by restricted and repetitive behavior. In other words, autism is a disorder in which the person suffering it cannot feel the pain and doesn't quite understand what they're doing. Autistic disorder is not the only disorder that is suffered throughout the world. There are unfortunately many, many more disorders in the world.
There are very many disorders out there in the world. The one that is probably most suffered by teenagers everywhere are eating disorders. Eating disorders refer to a group of conditions characterized by abnormal eating habits that may involve either insufficient or excessive food intake to the detriment of an individual's physical and emotional health, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa being the most common specific forms in the United States , (www.wikipedia.com)Eating disorders, though mainly thought of as affecting females (an estimated 5-10million being affected in the U.S.), eating disorders affect males as well (an estimated million U.S. males affected). The reason for eating disorders is poorly known, but, it might involve other conditions and situations One study showed that girls with ADHD, have a greater chance of getting an eating disorder than those not affected by ADHD.
Another very well knows disorder is bipolar disorder . Bipolar disorder is a diagnosis that describes a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated energy levels. These elevated moods are referred to as mania, or if milder, hypomania. A very talented and well known artist, Vincent Van Gogh (Van Gogh: a Beginner's Guide) also suffered from bipolar disorder. All though this often interfered with his work he didn't have a very bad case. It is very hard to say the causes of bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is hereditary, which means that it could be passed down from family members. This disorder is definitely not the worst disorder out there; it's actually one of the most stand able ones.
That Is my research paper. It might not be the best one you've ever seen or red but I tried m hardest and that's all that matters. I would recommend this to any body who takes an interest in disorders, like me, I feel like this was is very helpful and interesting.
