Programme Details
Participants will have to gather at 9 o’clock in the morning and register themselves at the counter in front of the multipurpose hall KB005. After that, they will lead by the helpers to their seats accordingly. At 9.30 a.m., the trainers will have a brief introduction of the training course for the day. This is a stress management training programme which consists of two modules. The first module will be related on building interpersonal relationship and the second module will be regarding on time management. By giving a brief introduction to the participants, they can have a rough idea on what should they expect.
First module starts at 10 a.m. by giving a lecture on the importance of communication. This allows the participants to understand that communication is not merely exchanging information but to understand the meanings behind the message and the emotion of the people. Effective communication requires not just to convey the message and being understood by the people but is also to listen what people are saying and make them feel heard and understood. Besides that, the trainers will introduce types of listening concept to the participants to further their understanding of effective communication. By that, they will increase the emotional intelligence and increase the team collaboration. The whole lecture duration will be set for one and a half hour which will be end at 11.30 a.m. After that, a short tea break will be given and refreshment will be provided to the participants.
After the tea break, the trainers will have an interactive game session with the participants. This game is called the Geometry. This game requires two long shoe strings to form a circle. All group members (6-10 members) are required to hold onto the circle with both hands for the entire game session. They are required to form a shape mentioned by the trainers. They are allowed to have verbal communication but they are not allowed to open their eyes. This game involves a lot of communication which requires leadership and cooperation of the team members to be able to success in this game. The whole game session will take 45 minutes. After the game session, they will have a discussion time on what are their thoughts and share the experiences on what they have learnt in the game. By these, they can increase the morale and level of interaction. Later on, they will have a lunch break for an hour.
