An insight into Modern day Polygamy
Tentative Thesis:
Polygamy is considered a crime and is prosecutable within certain states. In many polygamist communities abuse, incest, and crime is at large. What many do not understand is that some polygamists choose to live within normal communities and raise their children outside the strict guidelines of other polygamist communities. This essay will help people understand that although you may not think their choice is spiritually acceptable, their children are being raised healthy, with no abuse and, in a loving home just with more then one mom.
Condensation:
When many people hear the word polygamist many stereotypes come to mind, the old-fashioned dresses, braided hair, young marriage and sexual abuse. Although the children may have different mothers they all have grown up together as brothers and sisters and separation would be just as devastating as separating any siblings. Third I will discuss the housing struggles modern day polygamists may face. The goal of all modern day polygamists is to have their entire family in one big house together. In certain states where houses are built on quality and not the quantity of rooms this can be a struggle it leads them to build their own home which many do not have the proper funds to do even with at least the husband and two wives working. Forth I will discuss the hectic and complicated schedule that modern day polygamist husbands and wives face which in turn affects all the children. Finally I will discuss the values
