The widely known commercials of Old Spice being humorous with no logical explanations in sequence of events catches the attention of both women and man. What seemed to be a funny commercial which one can easily watch and laugh about is a clever way of advertisement.

Persuading the audience with ideas that will attract women by using their products will make one feel more confident, desirable, fearless and happy. With the pathos appeal in effect through Old Spice products where the company makes the average man feel lazy about themselves. Comparing their own bodies with the muscular type promoted and making the viewer feel ugly, insecure and oblivious to women. Refusal of product is to be sad, alone and the thought of never achieving a woman's heart.

The idea of commercial where Old Spice promotes a man who is admirably fit, wealthy , masculine and have great knowledge of women's desire also has the ethos appeal. To smell manly is to use their products for bathing and to prevent foul odors by using body wash and deodorant. The goal to become the norm in a man's daily routine. In the eyes of men, they should be more like this character and women will soon come knocking. To women, a standard expectation of a man.

The commercial seemed to be an equal combination of both pathos and ethos based ideas. With an end result of a brainwashing method to have the ideas embedded to seem like a logos appeal. Implanting their definition of a man to make it seem logical and to naturalize it where one could think is enough to be quantifiable data.
