I cant stand it anymore. Every year theres a new problem that emerges and this year is no different. In fact this year is probably the worst BCS selection ive seen, EVER! The worst part about this whole fiasco is the fact that my team is not even in the BCS picture. What im pissed about mainly is the fact that LSU is now playing for the National Championship and unless you are an LSU fan, you should be just as pissed. How in the hell does a team who was ranked #1 TWICE this year and whos 2 losses came while they were at that #1 ranking still end up playing for the NC?! Not to mention that before this most recent BCS ranking came out they were ranked #7. That means they leap frogged 3 other teams (not counting of course Mizzou and WV who both lost this past week) in order to reach the #2 ranking they now own. 3 teams who are all, in my opinion, more deserving of a shot at the title than a team that pissed away a #1 ranking TWICE, and I cant stress that enough. I dont give a shit if they beat a 'good' Tennessee team in order to win the SEC. You replace Tenn with Georgia and LSU is handed their 3rd loss of the season, no doubt. I also dont give a shit about their strength of schedule or anyone elses for that matter. This season has more than proved the fact that ANYONE can lose to even the most underrated of opponents (i.e. USC losing to Stanford, Michigan losing to App St, WV losing to Pitt, ect.). So thats another factor that needs to be thrown out and if it was, guess who would be playin for the NC? Hawaii, the ONLY undefeated team in all of college football. So what they play in a shitty conference. Tell me the last time there was only one undefeated team in Div-I that did not play for the NC. Im glad they get to play in the Sugar Bowl, but should they not recieve more for being the only team this year to go through an entire season undefeated? Because it really doesnt matter who you play, undefeated is undefeated. Back to LSU. I know people are gonna argue that they won the SEC which is the toughest conference and they had a 6-1 record against ranked opponents, but it doesnt matter, it shouldnt matter. Of those 7 ranked opponents LSU played, 3 are still ranked. And guess what that ranked opponent they lost to is one of those not ranked anymore. I think thats how strength of schedule should really be looked at, how good is each team at the end of the season, not 'oh they were ranked at the time'. BULLSHIT! Texas was #4 to start the season, are they a #4 caliber team now? Hell no! And all of you know how die hard a fan I am of the Longhorns, but I will be the first to admit they had a shitty season. So what do yall think? Im really interested is hearin what all you Georgia fans have to say, seeing as Georgia was #4 before this last weekends episode of 'Top Teams Losing' and should have rightfully slid up to the vacant #2 spot. Let the controversy begin...
