NIKE'S PROMOTION STRATEGY

Promotion is largely dependent on finding accessible store locations. It also avails of targeted advertising in the newspaper and creating strategic alliances. Nike has been one of the top retail industries for quite a long time. This is because they sell quality products, customer loyalty, but most of all, its great marketing techniques

Advertising is a major strength of the company. Nike understand it and that's the reason why they spend a huge amount of money for advertising: 1,4 billion dollars in 2003 (nearly 7 times the amount Reebok spent in that year); 2,4 billion dollars in 2011.

So how does Nike promote their brands:

The company has used electronic media (commercials, official website of Nike and newspapers) to promote their brand.

There are thousands of Nike advertisements that can be found on televisions, newspaper, the internet and posters.

Nike also has earned 2 Emmy Award for best commercial since the award was first created in the 1990s. The first was in 2000 for "The Morning After" Ads.

The second was in 2002 for an ads called "Move"

Nike has a number of famous athletes that serve as brand ambassadors orc elebrity spokespersons, such as:

This strategy help Nike lure many sport fans because any fans want to have a shirt, a pair of shoes or a hat like their idol.
