Pepsi Company has many brands that they own including Pepsi, Frito Lays, and Sobe. Sobe has a new product just recently introduced called Sobe Lifewater with Coconut Water. The main feature of this product is the coconut water that is designed to hydrate people's bodies. This drink is supposed to be the best for hydration with a very low amount of calories and sugars with a great taste. The key to this drink is that it is naturally sweetened with the coconut water.
This product is marketed towards people who are into sports and working out. People who work out or play sports on a regular basis often need to hydrate their bodies to get maximum results. There has been a recent new trend in the United States of people who are trying to be more active. More and more people are doing things such as biking, running, and yoga in which they need to find hydration somewhere. One of the newest trends for eating healthy is using coconuts in things such as water and milk. These reasons are the backbone of the Sobe Lifewater with coconut water's invention.
The introduction of this product has impacted the company in a great way. With the introduction of Sobe Lifewater with coconut water, Pepsi Company has boosted their overall sales. Many jobs have also been created with the introduction of this product. Collaboration was a must within the different departments of Pepsi Company. Their mission is to be the world's premier consumer Products Company focused on convenient foods and beverages. They do this through their different brands within the Company. The head honcho's of these different brands meet often to discuss how Pepsi can market a new product and the audience they can market the product to. This is how Sobe Lifewater with coconut water came about.
